Background

Georgia has worked as a communication designer, illustrator and printmaker for the last 30 years. She worked for FHA, Nexus and The Age before establishing her own business, freelancing as an illustrator since 1995. Selected clients include Business Review Weekly, City of Melbourne, David Lancashire Design, Emerystudio, Environment Australia, Longman Australia, MacMillan Publishers, Melbourne Theatre Company, Mushroom Records, National Australia Bank, Penguin Books and Vogue Australia. Georgia was a judge for the Melbourne Art Directors Club Awards and the Walkley Awards.?She received an AGDA Pinnacle Award (illustration category) and design awards from the Australian Writers and Art Directors Association and the National Print Awards, in 2011 Georgia?was the recipient of an?APW Collie Print Trust Scholarship.?She has been lecturing at RMIT University for 20 years, her research interests include material thinking, new materialism, decolonising aesthesis and feminist studies.
