Studio Inquiry

In the field of spatial linguistics 2D and 3D communication dimensions become integrated. Graphic elements are carefully considered for spatial integration where systemised information can be recognised intuitively, efficiently and accurately. The core studio inquiry will be how to explore creative and successful spatial linguistics.

Engagement

Students will research into strategic design systems for 2D and 3D integration and creative design thinking applied to these. The form of structures will be observed and analysed to inspire creativity and to consider outward communication that can streamline structures and provide an atmosphere, identity and emotion of space for the three-dimensional communication for human experience.

Communication of knowledge

You will apply your knowledge to a strategic approach to 2D and 3D design integration that will inform and inspire providing systemised information for successful recognition, efficiency and accuracy. You will consider design elements and modular systems that can directly reference environmental architecture, location and topic.

Activities

Students will research, explore and develop ideas and creative proposals for design systems for 2D and 3D integration. Observing strategies for design, communication and experience. Creative ideas will be tested in 2D and 3D dual dimensions.

Assessments

Assignment 1: The SKO will be a creative document describing and reflecting on your studio experience.

Assignment 2: Has 3 parts – researching 2D & 3D integrated design systems, creating a strategic approach to 2D & 3D integration design, planning and implementing 2D & 3D integration applications.
