This studio will explore what constitutes fashion design and how we can explore fashion branding. It will examine how fashion businesses establish the image of their company in the eyes of potential customers, using product name, brand, colours, logo and more to help build a coherent fashion brand.
Students will explore existing fashion brands and influential fashion designers, analyzing their histories, visual identities, and market positions through a critical research lens. They will examine how these brands adapt to evolving cultural, artistic, and technological landscapes. Through this inquiry, students will develop new and exciting forms of creative expression that respond to real-world trends and challenges in the fashion industry. By envisioning how art, culture, and design intersect, students will gain deeper insights into branding, innovation, and the future of fashion enterprise.
Students will learn how to create and position a successful fashion brand by critically examining the core elements that contribute to effective brand identity, storytelling, and market differentiation.
