Studio Inquiry

Driving innovation though the practice of Experience Design. Together we'll explore what it means to create a user experience that is not only desirable, but also feasible and viable. We'll undertake foundations of Service Design, Interaction Design and Business Design in order to conceptualise, create and validate a digital user experience for business investment and entrepreneurial pursuits.
Engagement
Your pathway to an informed design solution will require a deep understanding of user needs, behaviours and opinions. Industry leading research practices and methods of analysis will be applied throughout many stages of the studio. Students will be required to engage with their target users, industry partners and peers regularly.
Communication of knowledge
The focus of this studio is to not only educate students on industry best practices and leading research methods. It is to provide exposure to the processes undertaken when creating a world class digital experience, the techniques required to solve real world problems, and the most efficient strategies to validate an idea for entrepreneurial pursuit or business investment.
Activities
We'll be very hands on in this studio! Across the semester you'll undertake and communicate your stages of user research, journey mapping, user profiling, interface design, prototyping, commercial validation, and present your results as a business case.
