My practice, initially was based in Advertising and Illustration, focused specialising in but not limited to fashion accounts. Quite by accident I started teaching casually and discovered that I enjoyed teaching design, over decades this passion grew and I became, Head of the Communication Design program at RMIT, then Head of the Department of Design, Then Dean of the School of Applied Communication all at RMIT. These positions enabled me to develop approaches to design education which in themselves were design challenges. I established the first Communication Design degree at RMIT in Melbourne and Singapore and in Vietnam. Eventually I retired and undertook a Masters Degree in Fine Art which contributes to my design practice and my first love teaching design.
