Studio Inquiry

What if I told you that you have the opportunity to experience a journey of self-discovery, where you can celebrate the past, embrace the present and shape the future.

What if I told you, you have the opportunity to discover the essence of your identity by exploring your heritage, or friendships you have forged or even the communities you belong to.

What if I told you that you will be encouraged to unleash your creative spirit across various disciplines and applications, both print and digital, to produce a selection of self discovery artworks and own unique brand (product, service or cause) that aligns with your origin of choice.

Well... you can. Welcome to ‘Make Your Mark Origins’ - let your story unfold.

In this studio you will investigate how brand identity, visual communication and storytelling can evoke emotions, ignite curiosity, and influence the way we think, feel and behave about a product, service or cause.

Whether you're a curious graphic artist, an illustrator with a vivid imagination, a photographer with an eye for storytelling or simply seeking to connect with your roots, this studio will only be limited by your imagination.

The studio is built around a culture of trust, collaboration and curiosity, with an emphasis on design process, ideation, strength of concept and implementation of brand.

The studio will also provide first hand ‘real world’ insights and tips about the industry to help you forge your creative path. You may even find your own unique ‘operating rhythm’ to help with time management.

We will also explore past and current design trends and personalities, locally and internationally, discovering, who and how, have made a difference in their field.

One to one support, group discussion, project collaboration, developing confidence through presentations and sharing of ideas will all form a part of the engagement platform.

Communication of knowledge

Following a process of ‘Discovery, Creation and Activation’ you will develop and create your unique brand offering using various design, advertising, environmental and media communications that resonates with your audience.

Studio activities include: Group collaboration design and research exercises, presentations of findings and project progress and the discovery of your unique space.

The semester will be broken into 3 parts:

Develop and create a selection self discovery artworks that reflects your origin of choice.

Create your own unique brand (product, service or cause) and associated media that aligns with origin of choice.
