Studio Inquiry
This studio will explore socially responsible advertising for ethically sound products. You will investigate a variety of media forms such as digital, web based communications and targeted print media. You will research and engage with socially responsible products and explore how the media landscape is evolving with new technologies, methods and interventions.
Engagement
You will engage with current design discourse on behavioural change strategy and sustainability in design and communication. You will also explore a range of conceptual development prompts in order to expand your understanding of ideas generation and working through 'creative blocks'.
Communication of knowledge
In this studio you will focus on generating effective, exciting ideas that reflect values based brands. It is important that these values based messages connect to an audience that seeks and expects a values match. You will art direct and design advertising that captivates your audiences and engages them with products and services
Activities
You will conceptualise and design / art direct a series of mini campaigns in response to Advertising / Communications industry style briefs. You will generate multiple ideas for group critique and discussion. You will also research and share examples of effective advertising and communication 'hacks'.
You will develop your own communication strategy design voice.
Assessments
There are three assessment tasks for this studio, the briefs are made up of a range of milestone deliverables that are interconnected and build upon each other.
Brief 1 - (SKO) - Presenting my advertising strategy.
Brief 2 - (Research / Explore) Good and bad advertising.
